Iran Visa for Philippine Passport Holder
As soon as we arrived back to Philippines, we make sure to arranged our visa right away. We were instructed to arrange the ocular visit as early as 2 weeks after our meeting. Though we read that Iran provides visa upon arrival in their country, we don’t want to take the risk of arriving without the visa. Just like any other country, Iran also offers different types of visas. See the list for different categories and requirements. For the tourist category, a visa application form and a possible interview are just the things needed. I am not sure if last year this interview is already a part of the requirements, but there was no interview held after we submit our visa application.

Application is very straightforward. With your passport besides you, all required information is no-brainer.
The embassy of Iran will send you an email with a verification code that you need to input within 12 hours. Ours, we input it in a matter of minutes. Hahaha! Time is ticking and we need to make sure that the itinerary we made will be completely accomplished.
Then you will receive an email with the application ID for tracking purposes. It also includes a pdf format of your visa application.
In 10 days or less, we received an email indicating that our visa is granted and we just need to submit our passport for checking upon our arrival in Imam Khomeini International Airport – Tehran.
By the way, make sure that you are final with what airport you are arriving at. Changes in the airport may extend the time of your waiting for your visa results. I remember calling the Iran Embassy here in the Philippines that we are thinking of changing our flight itinerary. The guy on the other line, (sorry I forgot your name sir 😀 but thank you for being so nice ) mentioned to me that though Filipino can acquire visa upon arrival, this case may result in a hassle if we proceed in changing our airport from Tehran to Mashad.
