ITINERARY:

01 Mon. Havana

At the end of the afternoon, transfer in a vintage classic car to the fortress of San Carlos and to attend the “canonazo” (cannon shooting) ceremony.

02 Tues. Havana

Welcome to Cuba. Transfer to the hotel. Panoramic tour of the city including a boat ride across the bay to Regla. Transfer to the “Callejon del Chorro” area for a stroll and to lunch. Free time in the afternoon.

03 Wed. Havana – Guama – Caleta Buena Giron – Cienfuegos

We will leave for the south enjoying the tropical landscapes. We´ll visit the crocodile farm in Guama where we´ll take a boat through the national park. We will stop in Taina. In Caleta Buena, you can swim in the Caribbean. Lunch included. We will visit the Museum of “Playa Giron”. We continue to Cienfuegos, the Pearl of the South. Dinner included.

04 Thurs. Cienfuegos – Trinidad

Today we will visit Trinidad, the most beautiful and best-preserved colonial city in Cuba. Afterwards, we´ll visit a temple of Santería Yemayá where a witch doctor will tell us about this religion. Lunch included and arrival at our resort hotel in Playa Ancón. Night transfer to the cathedral district. Dinner included.

05 Fri. Trinidad – Valle de los Ingenios – Guachinango – Trinidad

We travel to Manaca Iznaga, center of the
sugar zone. We will take the historic train
through the hacienda stopping in Fenota to
Guachinango. Lunch included. In the after- noon, on our old train we return to Trinidad.
Dinner included. Free time.

06 Sat. Trinidad – Havana

Departure back to Havana. Arrival, transfer tothe hotel and overnight.

07 Sun. Havana – Mexico City

After breakfast transfer to the airport to take a
regular flight to Mexico City. Arrival and trans- fer to the hotel. Free time at leisure.

08 Mon. Mexico City

Sightseeing tour of Mexico City. After that a
transfer to the Basilica of Guadalupe. In the
afternoon in Xochimilco we will take a ride
on a ¨trajinera¨, boats festooned with flow- ers. Evening transfer to the lively Plaza de
Garibaldi with dinner included.

09 Tues. Mexico city – Morelia – Janitzio – Patzcuaro

We leave Mexico DF, and amidst green countryside we enter the state of Michoacán. In Morelia, the splendid Michoacán capital whose center, time for lunch and a stroll in the center. Night in the “magical village” of Patzcuaro

10 Wed. Patzcuaro – Chapala – Tlaquepaque – Guadalajara

We set out for the state of Jalisco. We´ll see
Lake Chapala, the largest natural lake in
Mexico. We stop in the Tlaquepaque district
with its picturesque streets full of shops and
craftsmen. Arrival in Guadalajara, capital of
Jalisco and birthplace of Mariachi and Tequila.

11 Thurs. Guadalajara – Tequila – Guadalajara

We include a visit to Guadalajara where we
will enter the Cabañas Hospice, declared
Unesco World Heritage. After the visit, we will go on to the next town of Tequila, time for a stroll and lunch in the picturesque town. We include entrance to a distillery and will see how this famous Mexican drink is made. Return to Guadalajara and free time.

12 Fri. Guadalajara – Guanajuato

Arrival to Guanajuato. In the afternoon we
include a city tour of this very beautiful uni- versity city declared World Heritage, its steep slopes, its narrow streets, its churches, and we also include a cable car ride to admire the view from “el Pípila”

13 Sat. Guanajuato – Dolores Hidalgo – San Miguel Allende – Atotonilco – Queretaro

Amidst the mountains, we will travel to
Dolores Hidalgo, the city that is the cradle of Mexican independence. Afterwards
we head to San Miguel de Allende, declared
World Heritage and we visit the Atotonilco
Sanctuary. Arrival mid-afternoon in the beautiful colonial city of Queretaro

14 Sun. Queretaro – Teotihuacan – Cholula – Puebla

We travel to Teotihuacan to visit the archaeological site of this ancient pre-Hispanic where We will admire its pyramids. Continuation to Cholula, with its beautiful square. In the afternoon, we travel to Puebla. Its great renaissance cathedral and its active zocalo stand out.

15 Mon. Puebla – Monte Alban – Oaxaca

We travel to Oaxaca. Arrival in the afternoon and sightseeing tour of this impressive city of Aztec origin. Entry and visit of the Monte Alban site, the greatest of the Zapotec cities located in the valley of Oaxaca. Return to Oaxaca and free time.

16 Tues. Oaxaca – San Pablo Villa de la Mitla – Tuxtla

Amidst mountainous landscapes and small
towns we arrive to the ¨Magical Town¨ of
San Pablo Villa de Mitla. We continue through the sierra of Oaxaca. Lunch included. Arrival in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, capital of the state of Chiapas. With the guide we will go to listen to a group playing the marimba live.

17 Wed. Tuxtla – Sumidero Canyon – Chiapa del Corzo – Zinacantan – San Juan de Chamula – San Cristobal

In the Sumidero Canyon we will take a boat
to navigate through the impressive canyon. A walk through Chiapa del Corzo. Later we will enter the towns of Zinacantan and San Juan de Chamula with a strong tradition of Mayan culture. Arrival in San Cristobal de las Casas, a beautiful colonial city. Free time.

18 Thurs. San Cristobal – Ocosingo – Agua Azul – Misol Ha – Palenque

We will travel through mountainous land- scapes in the interior of Chiapas, in traditional areas inhabited by Mayan communities. We will make a stop in Ocosingo. After that, entry into the Agua Azul National Park. Lunch included. We will walk among waterfalls in Misol Ha.
Continuation to Palenque. Dinner included.

19 Friday Palenque – Campeche

We explore the impressive archaeological site of the Mayan city of Palenque. After that we travel to the Gulf of Mexico through the state of Tabasco. Arrival in Campeche, the Mexican port city known for its colonial buildings and large fortifications. Dinner included.

20 Sat. Campache – Merida

We leave for the state of Yucatán. Arrival in
Merida and sightseeing tour of the state cap- ital with a rich colonial and Mayan heritage.
Free time in the afternoon. In the evening
we include a transfer to attend the ¨Sacred
Stones¨ sound and light show.

21 Sun. Merida – Mexico City

After some time to continue discovering Merida, a transfer to the airport to take a regular flight to Mexico City

22 Mon. Merida – Mexico City

Breakfast. End of our services. Transfer from the hotel to the airport not included.
